In this work, we investigate style of Kawaii fashion in Japan.We collected three datasets of Kawaii fashion: Classic RetroDoll, Orthodox Pretty and Cute, and Street Kawaii. To clarify the difference of each category, Colorfulness is calculated and compared across all data sets. From the comparison of the Colorfulness, we found that Classic and Orthodox are similar with no significant difference, while Street is different from
Orthodox. Also, all of the three styles are significantly different from the Harajuku-Type Kawaii. This confirm the observation of fashion expert that Classic and Orthodox is somehow similar while Street can be different. Meanwhile, Harajuku-Type Kawaii is very much distinct from other Kawaii styles, as investigated before in our previous works.
