This work presents a preliminary experiment on extracting the color as an image feature, according to the adapted simplified MPEG-7 standard definition of dominant colors. The color features were compared across all types of fashion image; Harajuku Kawaii, Harajuku street snaps and Shibuya street snaps. The comparison shows that Harajuku Kawaii image set contains the highest saturation in dominant colors, followed by the Harajuku street snaps and Shibuya street snaps accordingly.
