Abstract: Diaspora communities, dispersed from their ancestral homelands, play a crucial role in shaping global cultural, economic, and political landscapes. While traditional studies emphasize identity and transnationalism, this study introduces a “model diaspora community” framework centered on sustainability and impact. It highlights four interrelated pillars: (1) fostering internal cohesion through cultural preservation and mutual support; (2) integrating into host societies while maintaining heritage and active participation; (3) contributing to home countries via remittances, knowledge transfer, and cultural diplomacy; and (4) leveraging transnational networks to address global challenges. Importantly, this framework is heuristic, not prescriptive, and recognizes that diaspora communities are diverse and not all dimensions apply equally. By synthesizing theoretical and practical insights, this study provides policymakers and researchers with a roadmap for reimagining diaspora communities as proactive, resilient, and sustainable contributors to an interconnected world.
