The fashion industry must address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study, then, aimed to address social problems and vitalize the industry using innovative kusakizome, a traditional Japanese natural plant dyeing technique. I created party dresses inspired by elegant images of Japonism, using traditional Japanese kimono-making techniques and a newly developed, environmentally-friendly kusakizome, with consideration of the women’s fashion market. Accessories made of the same material played a major role in proposing an entire outfit. Based on the positive response, the dresses suggested the possibility of the development of related local industries.宮武恵子,増田貴史,杉山歩,高橋由子,田中淑江
